Seniors Stretch & Mobility

Unlock jammed joints. Want better balance and mobility … gently? This class hits it. We apply a variety of techniques that warm us up. Our warm-up is a practice in itself of initiating range-of-motion movements. This early segment is not only valuable but is also a surprise in assessment for many folks newly grasping personal body imbalances.

We follow with repetitive, functional movements that improve posture, performance, balance, and flexibility. Every class is different. Every class is friendly. Every class is diligent in teaching you how to safely practice to reduce your own pain and stiffness.

(Note: You don’t have to be a senior to attend.)  Give it a go and be on-the-go again.

Strength & Resistance

Welcome to the massive and forever benefits of strength training to stave off Osteopenia and a necessity for all ages who intend to stand with good posture.

This hour involves compound, functional, and isolation exercises primarily to fortify and preserve muscle and bone strength, and to improve metabolic health.

Whatever your level, prepare to up your game as we use dumbbells/weights, resistance bands, stability balls, and body weight to master your new world one step at a time! 

With cutting-edge exercise science, professional coaching, and the undisputed benefits of strength training, this practice is a win-win-win. 

LEVEL: Beginner-to-Intermediate. [75 min. Tuesdays, Saturdays]

Soft Yoga & Stretch (mild)

Need slow and gentle? This 50/50 practice consistently encourages work from our foundation, outward. We’ll reduce stress, pain, respiration rate, and blood pressure as we increase core awareness, concentration, flexibility, muscle tone, and stability. 

Proper technique is cultivated. We modify and use props to address back and joint issues or other limitations to make your practice comfortable. Generous stretch time completes the body and mind work as we focus on deep breathing with stretches that facilitate mobility and comfort.

Prepare to leave class with joy and self-acceptance!  

LEVEL 1+. Appropriate for high-beginner-to-intermediate, a gentle practice. Pace: Slow [75 min. Mondays & Wednesdays]

Yoga Medley

For all ages who want to stay active! Dedicated to retaining bone density, good posture, and muscle retention, this supportive environment awaits you. 

Slow-paced postures are practiced to enhance lean physiques, improve balance, build core stabilization, and increase stamina. Some postures are held for several breath cycles. This builds body heat, charges major muscles, and increases caloric-burn. Our breath, our concentration, and our center fire up. 

We occasionally augment this yoga class with Swiss balls, stretch bands or dumbbells.

You’ll be inspired to explore and suss out your full potential in this session. And, you might discover a joyful new normal!

LEVEL: 1.5–2.0 Intermediate. Always modification-friendly. [75 min. Wednesdays; suitable for low-intermediate or intermediate. Not appropriate for first-timers.

Splendid Stretch

Fresh Friday stretch class is a decade-long favorite! Are you ready for sensational improvement? Always diverse, this session targets rekindling muscle pliability. 

This spirited class starts movement-based to slowly bring on sufficient body heat to achieve a comfortable range of motion. Stretches are initiated gently, cued thoroughly, and supervised for complete muscle release to relax tight zones. At times, a prolonged hold allows your body to fully relax into the move while harmonizing with breath. 

A colossal session for better functional performance, converting stiff into pliable, curtailing injury, and relieving the burdens of back pain. Your level is your decision. 

Venture into this triple pleasure of the body-mind benefits of stretching, relaxation, and our vibrant group that relishes it all!  Modification-friendly. 

LEVEL: Suitable for all. [75 min. Fridays]

Private Yoga & Fitness Training

Personal training is all about YOUR personal goals. Whether your choice is strength training, learning yoga, rekindling flexibility, balance, mobility, etc., you can rely on this being all about you.

Sessions are customized, safe, and comfortable. Any feelings of uncertainty in a group environment are understandable and respected. 

The benefits of private training are abundant. You will maximize your efficiency, retain accountability, build confidence, and find a deeper intelligence for your anatomy, posture, and muscular imbalances to improve or correct them. All of these directly pertain to your daily life function. 

Individual sessions are by appointment. “Buddy” sessions (2 people) are also available to respect your budget and to enjoy the camaraderie of partner training. Sessions are in bundles of your choice. (One-offs are only permitted for prior clients wanting refreshers, not for new trainees.)
