Gwenn Jones ~ ACE-certified Personal Trainer, Yoga Instructor, Studio Owner
Born and raised in San Francisco, Gwenn enjoyed a nurtured environment in dance. That history led her to pursue personal fitness training and group fitness as an occupation.
Gwenn’s two-year studies rewarded her with double certifications from the elite *American Council on Exercise (ACE). Her Bay Area client base grew rapidly and held strong for 10 years. But as they say, change happens.
Gwenn migrated to Auburn, California in 2004 and landed a teaching job at a busy fitness club. This timeline coincided with a third certification from YogaFit Worldwide (a partner with ACE).
But…more change. Autonomy became a thirst. It was by chance Gwenn discovered an empty building upon leaving a cafe. An inner voice screamed, “This could be it!” The exterior had good bones; the interior was miserable. So, a loan was secured, an interior was gutted, and a remodel exploded.
Auburn Yoga & Fitness opened in 2008—new, slick, and shiny. Today, in a still vibrant studio, Gwenn remains strong in teaching group fitness and yoga classes, with private sessions in between. Throughout AYF ownership, she upskilled with ACE-Functional Training Specialist and ACE-Mind-Body Specialist certifications.
What came next? Alongside 20 years as a local ‘FitGram’ newsletter writer, Gwenn is a subject-matter expert and multi-published health and fitness content contributor. Her work has appeared in top global digital publications, including Fit&Well, AskMen.com, and EatThis-NotThat magazines. What started as an alluring opportunity has become a powerful path she’s determined to expand.
