“The Yoga Show” 30-minute Educational Yoga Videos: Instructor and Producer, Gwenn Jones, Auburn Yoga Studio by and for Auburn Community TV, channel 20. The older of these videos (pre-2019) were shot before hi-Def cameras became available for ACTV by Philip Jacques, Cody Hitchcock, Paula Johnston. These days, everything is hi-Def and hi-Praise! Now, practice, practice, practice.

The Yoga Show: “Loosening Back & Hips for Seniors” 08-2022 (30 min.)
Practice these unusual and forgiving moves to ease tension in your hips and back. This session — entirely on your mat — consists of slow and gentle back and hip manipulations, with soft rotations. These are slow, deliberate, dynamic moves which often provide more relief than long, single holds.

The Yoga Show: “Hard Core, Strong Back” 06-2022 (30 min.)

Today’s intermediate session is a mighty-mat parade. We open with slow-moving upper body rotations. Reminders of proper knee and shoulder placement are prevalent. Plus, always a winner are Elbow/Forearm planks; side plank with hip dips. WOW MORE! Superman back extensions; lying crunch with straight-leg hip flexion. Strong guidance in the details keep it all together. Come play with me!

The Yoga Show: “Gentle Neck & Shoulder Stretch for Seniors” 4-2022 (30 min.)
Grab a strap or belt. Relax and enjoy an ALL-SEATED Super-Gentle, Super-slow stretch sequence for the neck and shoulders. Wonderful work is felt with shoulder and neck rotations, super-soft, comfortable back rotation. Moves are slow and explanations are explicit. Fine for Beginners, less-mobile individuals, or those just wanting gentle focused stretch. Filmed by and for ACTV.

The Yoga Show: “Seniors Gentle Chair Stretch” 03-2022 (30 min.)
Grab a chair and a cushion (optional) for this super slow and gentle stretch for SENIORS. We will glide into deliberate stretches for the back, shoulders, torso, and hips. These yoga chair moves are undemanding and include seated Side stretch, Goddess, Warrior and reverse warrior, with Hip flexor and low back stretches. Today’s practice, specifically for seniors, moves super slowly for plenty of time to prepare before the move, then release after. Always remember to focus on consistent breathing, and not holding the breath. Have fun! Filmed by ACTV / Auburn Community Television

The Yoga Show: “Core & More #2,” 07-2021 (30 min.)
Practice with me deep and progressive power postures for body Core strengthening and stabilization. Incorporating these great moves will empower your body and entice you back to do it again! Benefits of arm and chest strength building are a plus. (Not a flow.) Enjoy. (Filmed by ACTV July 2021.)

The Yoga Show: “Core & Cardio” 9-2021 (30 min.)
Practice these yoga power moves with diverse planks, down dogs, and twisted chair moves. Who knew so much core heat could flourish. You’ll feel asana-proud! No props needed today. Level – Intermediate. Have a blast! (Filmed by ACTV)

“River Yoga” Just for the joy! October 2012
Want to relax for a couple of minutes? Spending the day with one of my favorite friends combined with yoga at the river. It doesn’t get better, and this video never gets tiring (for me)! Shot, produced and edited by Paula Johnston, Videographer Gold Country Videos, Auburn, California.

The Yoga Show: “Long Tall Backs” 04-2019 (30 min.)
Stronger backs, improved posture, and reduced back pain are the results of practicing these very deliberate yoga postures. Today’s practice is suitable for high-beginner – to intermediate practitioners. Modifications are shown for beginner’s ease. Enjoy the slow warm-up. Come away feeling energized, flexible, taller, and more able to function day-to-day. Remember: Practice-Stop-Repeat. Practice-Stop-Repeat. Any “practice” means consistency. Stay strong.
